Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Veda Jyotish website and mobile applications. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

The service we provide

Veda Jyotish generates Vedic astrology calculations — birth charts (kundali), horoscopes, panchang, compatibility matching, muhurta and related readings — from the birth details you supply. Planetary positions are computed astronomically; interpretations are produced from classical rules and, where you choose, AI-assisted narrative.

Nature of the readings

Astrological readings are provided for guidance and personal reflection. They are not, and must not be treated as, professional medical, legal, financial, psychological or other regulated advice. Decisions you take remain your own. See our Disclaimer for the full position.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account.
One person, one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
Tell us promptly at support@vedajyotish.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.

Accuracy of the details you provide

The quality of any reading depends entirely on the accuracy of the birth date, time and place you enter. A birth time that is wrong by a few minutes can change the ascendant and therefore the whole chart. We calculate faithfully from what you give us; we cannot verify it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defraud or impersonate anyone;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content, or use automated means to access the service other than through an API plan;
resell, redistribute or publicly republish generated reports as your own product;
interfere with the operation of the service or place an unreasonable load on it.

Consultations with astrologers

Astrologers offering consultations are independent practitioners. Sessions are charged by the minute at the rate shown before the session begins, and are billed from the moment the astrologer accepts. You are responsible for maintaining sufficient wallet balance. We facilitate the connection and the payment; the content of a consultation is between you and the astrologer.

Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans unlock detailed reports and additional features. Prices are shown before you commit. Subscriptions renew for the stated period unless cancelled. Cancellation, refunds and chargebacks are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

API access

Where an API plan is purchased, use is subject to the rate limits and terms of that plan. API credentials are personal to your account and must be kept secret. We may suspend access that exceeds fair use or that is used to build a competing service.

Intellectual property

The software, design, written interpretations, rule sets and phrase banks are ours or our licensors'. Reports generated from your own birth details are yours to keep and use personally. Classical astrological principles themselves are, of course, common heritage and are not claimed by us.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upstream provider issues or events beyond our control may cause interruption. We may add, change or withdraw features over time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you take on the basis of a reading. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that is used unlawfully. You may close your account at any time; see Delete Your Account.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date on this page shows when they were last revised, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
