Veda Jyotish works out Vedic birth charts, horoscopes, the panchang, muhurtas, kundali matching and remedies, and connects you with astrologers for a consultation. You can use this website or our app; your account, wallet and plan are the same in both.
The first part of this guide is for customers. The second part is for astrologers who consult on Veda Jyotish.
For customers: creating an account and signing in
Much of the site works without an account: the panchang, the horoscope of each Moon sign, the muhurta finder, kundali matching and a birth chart report. An account keeps your charts and matches, gives you a wallet for consultations, and lets you buy a plan.
- Press Sign Up at the top of any page, or open the registration page.
- Give your name, your email address and a password, and create the account.
- We email you a link to confirm your address. Open it on any device; it is good for three days.
If the sign-in page shows a Mobile OTP tab, you can also sign in with your mobile number: type it, press Send code, and type the code from the SMS. The first time, you are asked for your name.
To sign in later, press Login and use the same email and password, or your mobile number.
Forgot your password? Press Forgot your password? on the sign-in page, type your email address, and we send you a link to choose a new one. The link works once, for an hour. If the site cannot send email just now, the page shows the support address to write to instead.
For customers: your account page
Open your account from the gear at the top of any page when you are signed in. There you can:
- change your name and email address (a changed address is sent a new confirmation link);
- change your password — this signs you out on your other devices;
- add or change a mobile number, where mobile sign-in is offered;
- see your plan, how much of it you have used this month, and cancel it;
- see your wallet history;
- delete your account.
To change the language of the site, use the language menu (the globe) at the top of any page. Your choice is remembered while you browse.
For customers: your birth chart
- Open Birth Chart.
- Type the name, the date of birth, the exact time of birth and the town of birth, and choose the town from the list that appears, so its time zone is known.
- If you like, open Advanced Options to choose which parts of the report to include.
- Press Generate Birth Chart.
The report shows the chart, the planets with their signs, houses and nakshatras, the houses, the dasha periods, yogas and doshas, and readings for each. The time of birth matters: a few minutes can change the rising sign.
When you are signed in, a chart you make is saved to your account and listed under My Birth Charts on your dashboard. Your plan decides how many charts you can save each month and whether you see the detailed report; if this month's are used, you still get the report, but the chart is not saved.
For customers: horoscopes, panchang and muhurta
Horoscope. Open Horoscope, choose your Moon sign, and choose daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. When you are signed in and have a saved chart, the Today's Horoscope card on your dashboard gives your own reading, from your birth star and your running dasha.
Panchang. Open Panchang to see the day's tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana, sunrise and sunset, Rahu Kalam and the other times to avoid, and the good times of the day. Search for your town, or press Detect to use where you are; choose another date to see that day. The month view shows the whole month.
Muhurta. Open Muhurta, choose the activity — marriage, griha pravesh, a vehicle, property, or a general one — the place and the dates, and the finder scores each day and lists its best windows and the times to avoid.
For customers: kundali matching, remedies and Lal Kitab
Kundali matching. Open Kundali Matching, give both births — date, time and place — and press Check Compatibility. You see the score out of 36 for the eight kootas, which doshas are found and whether they are cancelled, and what the total means. When you are signed in you can press Save to my account to keep the match; it then appears on your dashboard. Nothing is kept unless you ask.
Remedies. Open Remedies and choose what you are facing. When you are signed in with a saved chart, the remedies follow your own chart — only for the planets that are weak in it, and a gemstone only where your chart allows it. Without a chart you see the general remedies, marked as such.
Lal Kitab. Open Lal Kitab, give the birth details, and see the planets house by house, the debts the chart carries, and the remedies for the planets that need them.
For customers: talking to an astrologer
- Open Chat. The astrologers are listed with their languages, experience, rating and rate per minute. Use the filters to narrow the list, or Online now to see who is free.
- You need a plan that includes consultations — Premium Plans says which do — and money in your wallet (see the next sections).
- Press Chat beside an astrologer. If you see Voice or Video, that astrologer also takes calls; your browser asks for the microphone (and the camera) first.
- The astrologer accepts, and the consultation begins. Nothing is charged while you wait, and if they do not answer in time or decline, nothing is charged.
- Each minute is taken from your wallet as it begins, at the rate shown. When the wallet runs out, the consultation ends.
- Press End chat (or end the call) whenever you like. You see how many minutes it lasted and what it cost.
To help the astrologer, you can share a birth with the chat: the app offers your saved birth profiles when you start one. In the app you can also rate a consultation after it ends.
AI astrologers. Some astrologers are marked AI. They are answered by an artificial intelligence, not a person, and the first message says so and what it costs. A chat with one begins at once. Give your birth details when it asks, or press Share birth details, so it can read your own chart.
Your past consultations are in your history in the app.
For customers: the wallet
Consultations are paid from your wallet.
- Open your dashboard and find the Chat Wallet card.
- Choose an amount and press Add Funds.
- Choose how to pay from the ways shown. The payment company's own page opens; pay there with UPI, a card, net banking or a wallet.
- When the payment is confirmed, the money is in your wallet and we tell you.
If you closed the payment page after paying, the money still arrives: we check every payment with the payment company ourselves. Every addition and every charge is listed under Wallet history on your account page.
For customers: plans
Open Premium Plans to see the plans on offer and what each gives — for example consultations with astrologers, the detailed birth chart report, the number of charts you can save, and personal readings each month.
- Choose a plan and the period (by the year, where a yearly price is shown).
- Pay on the payment company's page. The plan starts when the payment is confirmed.
A plan is one payment for one period. It does not renew by itself, so nothing is taken from you later. To cancel, press Cancel plan on your account page; the plan runs until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
For customers: the app and its notifications
Our customer app uses your same account, wallet and plan: sign in with the same email and password or mobile number. The app keeps the birth profiles you add in it on your phone; charts saved on the website are listed on the website's dashboard.
The bell on the app's Home shows your notices — money added to your wallet, a plan that starts or is about to end, a refund, a consultation accepted or ended — and announcements from Veda Jyotish. Allow notifications when the app asks, so you hear about a consultation as soon as the astrologer accepts.
For customers: deleting your account
On your account page, press Delete account and type your password (an account that signs in only with a mobile number confirms with a code sent to that number). Your account and everything in it — charts, matches, readings, plan, wallet and its history, notices — are deleted, and cannot be brought back. An account cannot be deleted while a consultation is running. Our account deletion page says what is deleted and what is kept.
For astrologers: applying
- Open the astrologer registration page. If you already have an account, sign in and open Become an Astrologer instead.
- Fill in your personal details, your experience, your areas of specialization and the languages you consult in.
- Upload your photo, an ID proof and, if you have one, your astrology certificate. Your ID and certificate are seen only by our review team.
- Give your payout details: a UPI ID or your bank account. This is where your earnings are paid.
- Verify your mobile number if the form asks for a code. If it does not, our team confirms your number when they review your application.
- Accept the declaration and press Submit Application.
Our team reviews every application. Once you are approved, sign in and your astrologer console opens.
For astrologers: your profile and rates
Open your profile in the console to set what customers see: your display name, your bio and specializations, your languages, your available days, and your Consultation modes — chat, and voice and video calls where the site offers them — each with your rate per minute. Customers see your rate before they ask for a consultation.
For astrologers: taking consultations
- Open your console and set Your presence to Online. Set it to Busy or Offline when you cannot take a consultation. Every approved astrologer is listed, those online first, and customers can ask only those who are online.
- A request appears with the customer's name and whether it is a chat, a voice call or a video call. Press Accept or Decline. A request you do not answer within a few minutes expires, and the customer is not charged.
- For a call, your browser asks for the microphone (and the camera) when you accept. A running call shows Join call if you need to go back to it.
- If the customer shared a birth with the request, it is shown with it, so you can cast the chart.
- The customer is charged by the minute from their wallet. The consultation ends when either of you ends it or when their wallet runs out.
Our astrologer app does the same, and rings for a call request while it is open.
For astrologers: earnings and payouts
Open Earnings to see each consultation — minutes, what the customer paid and Your share — and your totals. Your share is what customers paid less the site's commission, which our team sets; it is recorded for each consultation when it closes.
Our team pays what you are owed to your UPI ID or bank account. Payments made to you lists each payout with its reference. A payout marked On its way has been sent and counts as paid; if a transfer fails, it is shown as failed and the amount is owed to you again. Keep your Payout details up to date on the same page: a payout is sent only to the details on file.
For astrologers: if your account is blocked
If our team blocks your account, you are taken off the list of astrologers and cannot go online or accept consultations, and you are signed out. A consultation already running is not cut off: you are signed out when it ends. What you have earned is still yours and is still paid. Write to us through the contact page if you think this is a mistake.
An astrologer account cannot be deleted while a consultation is running or a payout is on its way.
